FAQ
Too often we see stories of buyers who shortly after their purchase end up with big bills or bad surprises. Most often, the origin of their problem is not the will of the professional or private seller, but rather gaps in the history of the vehicle or even a lack of knowledge or time to prepare the vehicle.
Our Kiwiz inspection is that attentive and knowledgeable eye that will help avoid this situation.
If you are not sure if the city is served, you can always contact us to confirm.
Yes, we have inspectors familiar with these engines, and we have a form developed especially for these vehicles.
No. Once the reservation is made, the inspector who accepts the mandate has 48 hours to perform the inspection, whenever he wants. Kiwiz guarantees the service within 48 hours.
Yes! It's your right to ask to have a car from a dealership inspected by a third party, and it's highly recommended!
In addition, you can be certain that we will never be affiliated or in partnership with dealers, in order to keep the neutrality of our service.
So, if a dealer recommends you to use Kiwiz, be sure that he does not receive any compensation in exchange.
We ask for payment before the inspection because we react quickly and mobilize inspectors to move quickly, directly after the reservation.
We cannot mobilize an inspector without having received the payment.
If the inspection cannot take place for any reason, we guarantee a credit for the inspection of another vehicle.
Our inspectors are responsive and once we receive your request, we commit to perform the inspection within 48 hours. However, it may happen that the individual or the dealer is not available within 48 hours, which would extend the delay. These situations are out of our control and we disclaim any responsibility.
The presence of the buyer is not ideal. Here are the main reasons:
It could affect the professionalism and quality of our inspectors' work.
Concentration is crucial for the inspectors, it allows them to be rigorous on the analysis of the vehicle (abnormal noises, aesthetic defects etc). Being with the customer could distract them.
It lowers the chances of having an inspection within 48 hours.
Finding a common time slot between the seller, the inspector and the buyer complexifies the logistics and reduces the chances of finding a time slot within 48 hours.
If the vehicle has been sold in the meantime: Kiwiz gives you a credit for an upcoming inspection. If you prefer a refund, it is possible for a $30 processing fee.
In case the seller does not want Kiwiz to come and inspect the vehicle: : this is a bad sign because it is likely that the vehicle has defects that the seller wants to hide. We therefore advise you to turn to another vehicle. You can still get a Kiwiz credit on your next inspection.
Be careful! It's up to you to make sure ahead that the seller agrees having a third-party inspection to be done.
No.
The SAAQ inspection consists of a visual inspection of its main components.
